This vintage 2×10 runner is a new addition to Rug & Kilim’s Mid-Century Pasha Collection. This line is a commemoration, with rare curations we believe to hail from multidisciplinary Turkish designer Zeki Muren. Further on the Design: This distressed piece employs superimposed geometric patterns and negative space in the most fabulous, unusual style. Connoisseurs will note this rare play of sage green with brick red for this period, and admire how natural these colors compliment the texture. Keen eyes will further admire chartreuse and rust accents, too, in the meticulous variations this seemingly simple piece exudes. Few runners boast such a modern sensibility for their period, and let alone such versatile size. This one-of-a-kind mid-century runner further enjoys an otherwise good condition for this shabby-chic provenance. Ready for the floor, and especially well-suited to hallways and entryways that welcome an iconic collectible. Hand-knotted in wool circa 1960-1970.
