                          Curtains Hardware to the Trade

Custom curtains are costly and take a long time to have made and installed. Simple ready-made panels will help you adhere to your client's budget and timeline, and they don't have to look store-bought. Annie Selke's Stone Washed Linen Natural Curtain Panels are classic, nicely lined with cotton, and have rod pockets in 84", 96", and 108" lengths. For a fresher look, forgo the pocket rods and buy curtain clip rings or curtain loop rings with drapery hooks. This allows the curtain rod to remain visible, making the room feel airy and light. Curtain hardware, especially finials, significantly impact a room's identity. Pineapple finials are typical for formal spaces, while end cap finials are an excellent no-nonsense solution. Glass knob finials are casual and bounce light around. If you are covering a bay window, bay window connectors are tiny adjustable elbows that allow you to connect curtain rods simply. They are available in polished nickel, satin brass, satin nickel, and oil-rubbed bronze.

If curtains are too fancy for your client, consider a Daniel House favorite, the Ridge Cordless Roller Wicker Shade. It comes in several dimensions and is very easy to install. Roller shades also look very lovely layered beneath curtains.
