This vintage rug is an exciting new addition to Rug & Kilim’s Mid-Century Pasha Collection. This line is a commemoration, with rare curations we believe to hail from multidisciplinary Turkish designer Zeki Muren. Further on the Design: Hand-knotted in wool circa 1960-1970, this design marks one of Muren’s unique mid-century interpretations of Art Deco rugs. The colorway favors beige-brown, though keen eyes will note black and orange as well in the geometric patterns. its unusual use of neutrals and vibrant tones together is as rare as its playful take on architectural sensibilities. Both are elements of a collectible piece in Muren’s rugs—as much works of modern art as handmade rugs. Further on the Condition: This mid-century rug further enjoys an otherwise good condition for this provenance. The pile has been lowered, which lends the texture its distressed look.
