This flat weave is a bold new addition to the Scandinavian Kilim collection by Rug and Kilim. Handwoven in Wool, this trapezoid-shaped can be resized or cut into one or multiple smaller pieces upon request. Design: This irregular-shaped Kilim is a Contemporary take on the Swedish Deco style that recaptures the Rollakan style in high-end quality. Its colourway is a cool play of off-white, Grey and ice Blue in a very forgiving geometric pattern. Our construction incorporates undyed, natural yarns that lend the colour and pattern more movement and detail in a striae. Connoisseurs may note this element draws inspiration from mid-century Scandinavian weavers, who used their excess yarns in similar fashion. Through this, we lend a smart new accent to the aesthetic and honor its founders who inspire our collection. Its construction furthers a thick, more durable body than any other flat weave in bespoke rugs today. This, too, is a hallmark of our design, and a contribution to the Scandinavian style that sits comfortably anywhere.
