Hand Knotted in wool, this rare vintage 5×9 Oushak runner rug from the rare series of mid-century runners, features saturated teal tones which underscore vibrant purple, blue and brown with rust accents in the geometric patterns. On the Design: Connoisseurs will admire this vintage piece that seems to be from a rare series of runners that don't quite fit one style, but draw loosely on the Oushak principles of design among other tribal influences. This design takes a modernist look at a traditional style—even boasts some elements of a Mogul rug design in its particular medallion. Its array of tribal geometric patterns are so eclectic that it’s clearly a personal piece with many influences—a love letter to primitivist rugs via a gorgeous mid-century attitude with saturated colors and an excellent drawing for its time. This rug presents an intriguing combination of gentility and regality in its intricate patterns and colorways. Condition: This vintage Oushak runner rug further enjoys good condition for its age and origin.
