Hand-knotted in wool from Turkey originating between 1960-1970, this vintage mid-century modern rug is the latest to join our Mid Century Pasha collection, celebrating Turkish icon and multidisciplinary designer Zeki Muren with Josh’s hand picked favorites from this period. The collectible features three diamond patterns in the center that resemble tribal motifs belonging to the locals back then. This central design presents itself in subdued tones on a distressed brown backdrop. The 4×9 runner relishes a delicious chevron pattern with traditional lozenge design in similar colorway juxtaposed with tones of bright red, green and brown. An exemplary piece carrying mild wear consistent with age, well suited as a near-runner for entryways, hallways and passages amongst an array of possibilities.
