Originating from Turkey circa 1960-1970, a vintage 6×9 Art Decor rug from Rug & Kilim’s growing Mid-Century Pasha Collection, celebrating the hand picked mid-century works of Turkish icon Zeki Muren. Hand-knotted in wool, the Decor drawing enjoys a geometric aspect in shades of purple, red, and blue on a neat green background. The shabby chic personality is born of a play of distress and low-sheared pile, a calling card of Muren’s style complementing this as one of his most distinguished, unique mid-century modern rug styles. Existing in good condition otherwise, a perfect choice for kids room, dining room, console tables and powder rooms amongst the wide array of possibilities. Connoisseurs may note the markings in the reflected upper and lower corners may remark a signature on behalf of the weaver, further lending to the rarity and collectability of this rug. An ideal choice for living rooms, maximalist projects, and more.
