Warm Contemporary Asheville Abode: Seating Area I

Jennifer designed this home for a single man who wanted a moody, contemporary space. He is new to Asheville and the Western North Carolina mountains and wanted to bring some of our art into his home! Initially the rugs were most important to him because he has an older beloved dog who doesn't like to walk on hardwood floors! Jennifer felt it was important to use warm wood tones to unify and ground the space. She incorporated interesting lamps for warmth and coziness, and both designer and client gravitated toward substantial materials for a feeling of authenticity.

Warm Contemporary Asheville Abode: Seating Area II

Jennifer loves color and pattern, but more often than not, her clients want warm quiet neutrals that frame the beautiful views outside their windows! She loves her clients, most of whom are transplants to the area, and feels privileged to help them create a home in our mountains!

North Carolina Vacation Home: Living Room

Another of Jennifer’s projects is a vacation home for clients whose full-time residence is in Florida.

For those who may not be familiar, Asheville is nestled in the mountains of western North Carolina. The mountains draw people from all over—they put life in perspective, are ever-changing yet constant, and make you slow down because the roads and paths are curvier. When you slow down, you experience the light through the layers of trees differently!

North Carolina Vacation Home: Bar

These clients recognized the beauty in the slower way of life and wanted to embrace it. Jennifer helped them do just that with a stone fireplace, a cozy sectional, and, of course, a stylish bar! She unified the fireplace wall using the same Four Hands cabinet on either side of the mantle (the one to the left is just out of frame, but believe us, it’s there). The cabinet on the left is home to the TV, while the one on the right houses the bar. A sectional center around the cozy fireplace allows for a great view of the Western North Carolina mountains!
