Sarah Von Dreele
Sarah Von Dreele
After twenty years as a creative director in corporate and consumer branding, Sarah Von Dreele discovered painting as a vehicle to create a quiet space from an emotionally traumatic experience. Through the meditative nature of making, she found herself safely contained in stillness, allowing her to process and evolve. This iterative and reflective act eventually resulted in a body of work which was foundational for the launch of the Sarah Von Dreele brand. Upon her debut at ICFF 2019, Sarah was named a “trend-setting designer” by Interior Design Magazine, and one of Architectural Digest PRO’s “21 Favorite furnishings” from the show. She has been named an Interior Design Magazine Best of Year Awards honoree and NYCxDesign 2021 and 2022 finalist for her eponymous line of wallpapers and fabrics. Her work has also won honors at the Paris Design Awards 2020 and the IDA Design Awards 2020.
Sarah Von Dreele wallpapers, fabrics and original art are available to the trade through her showroom representation across the country. Additionally, Sarah continues to develop consumer home accessories and limited edition art for CB2. Sarah received a BFA in Graphic Design from Rhode Island School of Design in 1997. Between developing new products, painting what she sees, and keeping up with her sixth-grader, she patiently pursues her interest in learning the French language. Sarah lives and works in New York City, her home since 2002.
