This vintage 4×8 rug is a new addition to Rug & Kilim’s Mid-Century Pasha Collection. This line is a commemoration, with rare curations we believe to hail from multidisciplinary Turkish designer Zeki Muren. Hand-knotted in wool circa 1960-1970, its design explores industrial Art Deco sensibilities in a unique fashion for its period. Keen eyes will admire the sheer detail in colorway variation in the geometric pattern—a hallmark of Muren’s rare style. Though polychromatic, this piece favors a beige undertone, and its light hues offer a soft, almost neutral presence. Further on the Condition: This mid-century rug further enjoys an otherwise good condition for this shabby-chic style, and is ready for the floor. Keen eyes will note the pile has been lowered to preserve the construction, which lends it a distressed texture.
