This vintage 3×12 Persian runner is a rare Gabbeh rug, hand-knotted in wool by Qashqai tribal weavers circa 1950-1960. On the Design: Gabbehs are among the most collectible forms of primitivist Persian folk art, and few of this age, let alone this length, are seen today. its design favors large geometric medallion patterns in pink, beige, and brown on a navy blue background. It’s an exemplary piece that captures the personal nature and rustic charm in this tribal rug provenance, and its versatile size offers vast design applications, too. Condition: This mid-century Persian runner enjoys good condition for its rare age and origin, and is ready for the floor. It has some visible wear, and its pile has been lowered.
