Cabinets to the Trade

Too much storage is not a problem any client will face. If a bedroom has a tiny closet, add a hutch or armoire to keep more clothes and linens. A collector's cabinet or dry bar can help serve a meal efficiently in a dining room. Silver leaf or eglomise covered doors reflect light and give the impression of more space in a room. Glass door apothecary cabinets are great for displaying books or plates. A walnut sideboard might have inlaid brass with a Greek key motif or be lime-washed with shagreen doors. Very large bookshelves add architecture to a room and may even come with a rolling ladder to help access upper shelves. Floating shelves, bookcase towers, and teaser shelves are clever where space is tight. Contemporary trunk storage and ottoman storage go undetected in a living room.

Media consoles and TV stands are essential even in rooms where the TV is mounted on the wall; they contain the messy cords that go along with speakers and gaming systems.
