Originating from Pakistan, this antique Sultanabad floral rug from Rug and Kilim has very distinct bright colors, inspired from Persian Sultanabad designs and Oushak colors of the area. While most know this piece as a Persian Sultanabad, it may be from a family of Indian carpets made in the 1920s. The field has a curvilinear floral pattern, similar to a medallion style, depicting vines and floral irises in bright green, red, royal blue, and muted gold. Both the field and geometric border depict garland and vine scroll patterns, further indicating Persian influence in meticulous detail. Medium-thick wool pile, quick and easy to clean.
Rug & Kilim allows for a 3-day in-home rug trial for you to test the rug in your space before making a final decision. Return shipping is not included.
