Everyone Has a Back Bedroom

No matter the scale of your project, there’s always a room that doesn’t matter quite as much as the rest of them. Just because it doesn’t merit the same budget as a more significant room doesn’t mean it should look as boring as everyone else’s least important room. I end up furnishing this room from Pottery Barn and Etsy and I’m always a little bummed. In my own house I would furnish it with junk shop finds, but not everyone is open to so much patina.

The Bettina Lounge Chair looks mean, like the headlights of an Audi sportscar bearing down on you, but its price tag is more like that of Ford and its austerity vanishes as you sink into its plush leather seat.

Then there’ s the Ova Balance Storage Stool. I’ve bought something very similar from Bludot for countless clients at double the price without the bonus of storage. I love how it tapers outward slightly making it seem earthbound and very stable, like an upholstered gumdrop.

The Radinka Side table is awesome and comes in a ton of colors. What I love most is how its stainless steel support allows it to adjust from 20 – 30” tall, making it perfect next to almost any sofa or chair arm. It will lend a cool high-low mix to your scheme.

Outdoor is hardly on our minds right now, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the teak Shirley Stacking armchair. It’s that ubiquitous outdoor chair we’ve never really paid any attention to.
