Description

Hand knotted in wool originating from Turkey circa 1960-1960, this item is a vintage rug with a mid-century sensibility suspected to remark the works of celebrated Turkish icon Zeki Muren, who favored the European sensibilities and open border like that of this pink and green selection like that of his contemporary work. The detail and loving craftsmanship in the floral motifs brings out the forgiving pink hues with a skillful juxtaposition to the richer red, bright blue, and complementary green colorway in such a fashion that invited the eye to appreciate its sense of movement and grace; lent a natural sense of depth amid the wide border believed to be a hallmark of Muren's more domestic work. Connoisseurs will note the pile height has been purposefully refined to a lower height similar to the appeal of a Kilim or flat weave, and designers will similarly note the charming look of shabby chic in the distress (consistent with the age of this mid-century rug and ultimately complementary to its collectible nature).

Shipping Policy

The estimated lead time we share includes the time for this product to be restocked or made to order, prepared for shipment, and delivered with standard shipping options. If you need it sooner, an expedited shipping option is available at checkout, but it only reduces transit time. A concierge will provide a tracking number via email as soon as your order ships.
We do our best to keep the lead time up to date, but we cannot guarantee these estimates. A concierge will confirm the estimated ship date with the vendor and send this to you after you place your order. You can also reach out to us at concierge@danielhouse.club to confirm lead times before placing your order.
Standard shipping options include transit for 2-4 weeks after it leaves the manufacturer's warehouse. At checkout, you can select to have your items left on the curbside, brought into a room-of-choice and the packaging hauled away, or to have your items fully assembled (but not installed). You can also select an expedited curbside option which will reduce transit time by up to two weeks. Additional expedited room-of-choice and white glove options can be quoted by a concierge on request.
Return Policy

Returns are accepted with prior authorization within 3 days of receipt. Return shipping will be deducted from your refund. Returns must be in original condition, uninstalled (if applicable), and in original packaging.
In the case of damage, claims must be submitted within 5 days of receipt and must include pictures of the packaging before the package was opened, pictures of the damage, and a copy of the signed BOL noting the damages.
