Hand-Knotted in Wool and all-natural Silk, this rug is a new addition to the Mid-Century Modern rug collection by Rug and Kilim. This collection is a bold custom-capable line recapturing an underrepresented, iconic period with an entirely new approach to large scale, drawing, varied color and refined texture. This design by Red Dot award-winner Nikita Nagpal s bold hues on a lustrous silver-Grey background with a fabulous sense of movement. Keen eyes will further admire how finely drawn the geometric patterns and dot motifs are for a rug in this large size and scale. Furthermore, the Silk's natural sheen pays a natural complement to both the metallic and vibrant hues alike for a gorgeous presence in varied light. A neo-New Yorker from New Delhi, India, Surface Designer Nikita Nagpal serves in leading both our in-house art department and our remote design department in India, utilizing an extensive background and an equally impressive passion for the industry. An honors bachelor of arts in Fashion Design with an MFA in Fibers from the Savannah College of Art and Design, 2019 marked Nikita as the recipient of the prestigious Red Dot Award for Design Concepts in Material Innovation, the IDA Design Awards, Gold, and a published Finalist in the Dorothy Waxman Textile Design Prize. With multiple bold, pioneering projects under her belt, Nikita believes in the beauty and necessity of Process Art, a builder with a deep love of all things tactile now working directly with Josh Nazmiyal in their common passion for material innovation and creation. Custom orders are available. Please note all custom orders are subject to a 3-day return policy upon receipt of the CAD, at which point a full refund may be honored. Yarn samples can be made available during the process on the loom as well, subject to the 3-day window without prior approval of the extension. All custom sales following the approved CAD are final without these exceptions.

Rug and Kilim allows for a 3-day in-home rug trial for you to test the rug in your space before making a final decision. Return shipping is not included.
